West Ham United have signed the Manchester City stopper for the season.
West Ham United’s new goalkeeper Joe Hart has been photographed being put through his paces in training, and the England international will be hoping to prove his parent club Manchester City wrong in dramatic fashion when the new campaign kicks off next month.
The Hammers have struggled for much of the summer transfer window, but things appear to be on the up now and Hart will not be the last new face to arrive at the London Stadium in the next few weeks.
The 30-year-old spent last year on loan at Italian side Torino and things did not go as well as he would have hoped, with 64 goals conceded and only five clean sheets in 37 matches.
West Ham’s defence came under scrutiny last time out and Hart will be hoping to star behind a defence that needs to up its game to ensure the Hammers are challenging at the right end of the table from the outset.

Hart’s return for City is considerably better, with 137 clean sheets in 348 matches for the Blues, and with a long-term deal expected next summer if he excels during his temporary stint at West Ham, Slaven Bilic’s side may have got themselves a bargain with the ability to perform for the next 10 years.
Next up in need of strengthening is the striking department and the Telegraph recently claimed West Ham are closing in on a move for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
