Tottenham Hotspur have signed Leeds United winger Jack Clarke.

Tanguy Ndombele may have stolen the headlines for Tottenham Hotspur today by signing from Lyon in a club-record deal this afternoon, but he’s actually their second signing of the day.
Tottenham also snapped up winger Jack Clarke from Leeds United, ending a wait of 517 days for a new signing – but they immediately loaned him back to the Whites.
The 18-year-old isn’t deemed ready for Premier League football, and that’s no great surprise given that he only started four Championship games last season.
Clarke did though impress in limited playing time, registering two goals and two assists in 814 minutes of action, having racked up 20 substitute appearances.
Clarke is an exciting prospect for the future, and Mauricio Pochettino will be glad to see him work under his mentor Marcelo Bielsa for another season.
Tottenham tweeted out a photo of Clarke with his Spurs shirt for the first time, although many fans pointed out that it’s last season’s shirt as Tottenham still haven’t revealed their new strip.
Clarke also posted the photo later in the afternoon, and sent a message to Tottenham fans, admitting that he is very excited about his future with the club.
Clarke added a message for Leeds fans too, admitting that his focus is now fully on taking the club back to the Premier League before he joins up with Spurs in a year.
