One of the lesser-spoken about players on the sidelines for Liverpool is Xherdan Shaqiri.
Obviously with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara and Joe Gomez in the treatment room, it can be easy to forget about Shaqiri.
But the Switzerland international looks like he might be closing in on a return to action soon.
Shaqiri hasn’t played for Liverpool since earning half-an-hour in the 1-1 draw at Manchester City a month ago.
But he was photographed working out at the Reds’ Axa Training Centre on Friday – and one thing stood out.
The former Inter Milan and Bayern Munich star gets a lot of injuries for somebody with massive legs and Shaqiri’s enormous calf muscles were evident during his gym session.

Clearly the 28-year-old never – NEVER! – skips leg day and it’ll be interesting to see if he can stay fit when he returns.
With January on the horizon, Shaqiri, who was linked with a move away from Liverpool right up until transfrer deadline day in October, could struggle to stay at Anfield.
He needs a big month in December to prove that he’s worth keeping around.
