Everton’s disappointing run of form continued on Saturday afternoon, as they failed to win against Swansea City.
The Toffees played out a 1-1 draw with the Swans at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
Gylfi Sigurdsson put the Welsh outfit in the lead from the penalty spot in the 41st minute, and Seamus Coleman equalised for the home team on 89 minutes.
The draw means that Everton are now seventh in the Premier League table with 19 points from 12 matches.
It is not exactly a bad position, especially when one notices the teams above the Merseyside outfit in the standings at the moment.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United make up the top six.
Nevertheless, failure to win against Swansea was a disappointment for Everton, and the following photo of manager Ronald Koeman during the game sums up his mood.
Swansea played well, but Everton have the better team and should have won against a side struggling for survival in the top flight of English football.
The Toffees will return to action next weekend when they take on Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League.
