Tottenham Hotspur played their last match at White Hart Lane against Manchester United yesterday.

A photograph of Tottenham Hotspur’s White Hart Lane pitch being torn up has already emerged on Twitter.

Tottenham only bid their stadium an emotional farewell yesterday, following their victory over Manchester United.

But there has been no time for sentiment, with construction work already starting at Tottenham’s home ground.

Tottenham gave White Hart Lane a fitting send off on Sunday, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side completing an unbeaten season in front of their own fans in the Premier League.

Spurs ran out 2-1 winners over United, with Victor Wanyama and Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet.
