As you’ll know, Harvey Elliott suffered a gruesome injury in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leeds on Sunday following a challenge from Pascal Struijk.

It was a heartbreaking incident, made all the more devastating as Jürgen Klopp was just about to substitute the 18-year-old wonderkid.

Even watching on TV was tough, so we can’t imagine what it was like to witness the horrible event live.

For Ibrahima Konate, it was clearly too much.

The £36m signing from RB Leipzig couldn’t look as he buried his head into Klopp’s shoulder, while Elliott was being treated by paramedics.

You can see the photo of Konate below.

He may be a new face at Anfield, but the Frenchman clearly cares deeply about his teammates and the club already.

It’s hard not to feel the same way as Konate, even if you don’t support Liverpool.

Elliott was starting his third Premier League game in a row at Elland Road, in what was his breakout season as a top-flight player.

The ex-Fulham prodigy was performing superbly, so it’s absolutely crushing to see his season brought to a swift halt.

Hopefully, we can see Liverpool’s precocious No.67 back out there on the pitch before the season is over.

Failing that, let’s just hope this injury doesn’t have a long-term effect on the boyhood Liverpool fan, and he can still fulfil his massive potential.
