Well, the magic of the FA Cup is evident again and it hasn’t been a good day for Leeds United – but it has for certain Aston Villa legend Gabby Agbonlahor.
There was a third-round shock at The People’s Pension Stadium this afternoon as Crawley Town eliminated the Premier League outfit.
Not only that, but Leeds were comfortably beaten by the League Two outfit, who recorded a shock 3-0 victory.
Marcelo Bielsa rested some senior players, but Kiko Casilla, a Champions League winner, was among the players who started, alongside Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper, Ezgjan Alioski, Pablo Hernandez, Helder Costa and £30 million summer signing Rodrigo.
The Argentine still named an extremely-strong XI and therefore this was a major upset, but one person who isn’t that upset is Agbonlahor.
The former Aston Villa striker has made headlines for his verbal jousting with the Elland Road club this season and he seemed particularly pleased, posting a number of cryptic tweets after every goal.
And then at 3-0, the legendary Villan uploaded a photo of his shocked reaction beside the television.
The bad news is that Leeds – who finished the game against a reality television star – won’t live this down easily but, on the plus side, it allows Bielsa’s side to concentrate on the Premier League, of which they’re 12th in the table.
