Hearts fans trolled their Celtic counterparts with a Brendan Rodgers banner last night.
Celtic got the post-Brendan Rodgers era off to a winning start on Wednesday.
The Hoops, managed by Neil Lennon, scored a last-minute goal through Odsonne Edouard to snatch a 2-1 victory away to 10-man Hearts last night.
Lennon and his backroom staff erupted with joy on 92 minutes as Edouard swept home a cross from Scott Brown to nick three points which keeps Celtic eight ahead of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership title race.
Despite Rodgers’s shock departure, it looks like the Bhoys will be winning eight titles in a row, but Hearts fans unfurled a banner which trolled the Celtic supporters over losing their manager.
Many fans of the Parkhead side had long insisted that the Northern Irishman would be hanging around to guide the Glasgow giants to an unprecedented 10-in-a-row.
But the Bhoys’ players had the last laugh, with post-match images depicting scenes of pure delight.
