The Tottenham Hotspur hero met up with the former chairman after scoring twice against Queens Park Rangers.
Harry Kane went to meet a man Tottenham supporters will know very well after his match-winning double against QPR on Saturday afternoon.
Indeed, former Spurs chairman Alan Sugar posted a picture on Twitter of himself with the 21-year-old goal machine on Saturday evening.
Kane has been Tottenham’s hero throughout the current campaign and emphasised his importance to the north London side at QPR during the 2-1 win over the R’s.
| Goals | Goals Per Game | Minutes Per Goal | Appearances | Minutes Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sergio Agüero | 17 | 0.74 | 96.94 | 23 | 1,648 |
| Diego Costa | 17 | 0.81 | 104.76 | 21 | 1,781 |
| Harry Kane | 16 | 0.67 | 105.44 | 24 | 1,687 |
| Charlie Austin | 15 | 0.6 | 144.6 | 25 | 2,169 |
| Alexis Sánchez | 13 | 0.52 | 161.15 | 25 | 2,095 |
| Papiss Demba Cissé | 11 | 0.58 | 92.18 | 19 | 1,014 |
As Opta stats show, Kane’s double against QPR takes him to within just one goal of Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Chelsea’s Diego Costa in the Premier League scorers’ chart.
With 16 goals to his name, the 21-year-old Tottenham striker is the third-top scorer in the top flight and, in terms of goals per game, is also third.
When it comes to minutes per goal, though, Newcastle United forward Papiss Cisse is slightly more effective than Kane.
But that’s a small point in what has been a truly special season for the Spurs man so far – and what looks like it could yet get even better for the youngster. He most likely made Lord Sugar’s day.
