Leeds United recorded another win last night.
Leeds United manager Garry Monk
Pressure? What pressure?
After recording three wins in three matches, Leeds boss Garry Monk can afford to smile.
A week earlier The Times had reported that Leeds were considering giving Monk the boot after a poor start to the season, but a strong run of results has surely helped turn that around.
Of course it helps when you face relegation battlers Blackburn Rovers at home twice in the space of eight day, but Garry Monk’s job is looking more secure, and not less so.
With unpredictable owner Massimo Cellino, anything is possible, but Monk has bought himself some time after the results over the past week.
Leeds won impressively away to Cardiff in between, and have conceded only one goal in their last three matches.
This weekend there is another home fixture as Leeds face Ipswich Town. Monk will understandably hope his team give him reason to keep on smiling.
