Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houlier watched on at Anfield as his old club picked up their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday.
The Reds scraped a 1-0 win over struggling Crystal Palace, with Sadio Mane grabbing a 73rd-minute winner to get Liverpool – who drew 3-3 at Watford last week – out of trouble.
It was not a vintage performance from Jurgen Klopp’s side, who looked well below their best in the final third and scoring only once against a side who shipped three to Bournemouth last week is indicative of the sluggishness.

With the Philippe Coutinho saga still rumbling on, perhaps it will take a while before Liverpool get their groove back, but the result is more important than the performance at this stage of the season and the Merseyside outfit now have four from a possible six.
Another negative came in the form of captain Jordan Henderson. All eyes were on the 27-year-old midfielder after a dodgy display at Vicarage Road, but the England international failed to silence his critics by posting another suspect performance.
Nevertheless, Klopp warmly embraced the former Sunderland man at the end.
