There was a bit of speculation recently about Tottenham Hotspur axing Gedson Fernandes in January.
The Portuguese midfielder joined Spurs on an 18-month loan from Benfica last January.
But he is nowhere to be seen as far as being in a Tottenham squad goes.
Gedson has made Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad on just two occasions this season – and has been pretty much frozen out since September.
But the 21-year-old was at Hotspur Way on Friday as Mourinho put his Tottenham stars through their paces ahead of tomorrow’s North London derby with Arsenal.
Here are some images of the rarely-seen figure:

Gedson’s chances of being in the squad tomorrow are pretty remote.
Truth be told, the Tottenham boss just has much better midfielders and Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s form this season have done him absolutely no favours.
With January only a few weeks away, we’ve probably seen the last of Gedson.
