Leeds United’s recruitment chief meets with Serie A peer.
The sporting director of Serie A side Frosinone has been pictured at Leeds United.
Marco Giannitti posted a message outside academy base Thorp Arch alongside Leeds sporting director Victor Orta.
Giannitti’s message read: “A big good luck to the friend #VictorOrta and @LUFC first in the standings in the @SkyBetChamp. I know very well, dear Victor, how much you worked to collect these results. I hope you can reach the great seasonal goal soon, bringing back the #Leeds where it deserves #lufc”
Frosinone won promotion to Italy’s Serie A in 2017/18, for the second time ever.
Their spell in the top flight has remained challenging, currently sitting in 19th place.
Their most well known player is former Arsenal attacker Joel Campbell.
It is unclear what the reason for Giannitti’s visit to Leeds was, whether it was simply a fact finding mission about the club’s academy, or if he and Orta were looking to strike any transfer deals.
