Yesterday, Eddie Howe was named Premier League Manager of the Month, after he oversaw a fantastic February for Newcastle.
The Magpies picked up ten points from four games, with wins over Everton, Aston Villa and Brentford, as well as a 1-1 draw against West Ham.
Howe thoroughly deserved the award, and a photo of him receiving his prize at Little Benton spoke volumes about the 44-year-old.
What’s the story?
Well, Howe ensured that his entire backroom staff received the plaudits, as he squeezed them into the photo.
It was a nice gesture from the ex-Bournemouth boss, who clearly appreciates the hard work of his coaching team.
You can see the photo below.

Contrastingly, when Bruce was named Premier League Manager of the Month for April 2021, his backroom staff were nowhere to be seen.
At times, it did feel like it was Bruce against the world on Tyneside, but now, there is clearly a feeling of togetherness under Howe.
In our view, the contrasting images sum up the nature of both managers well.
Eddie Howe is thriving at Newcastle

Since replacing Bruce in November, Howe has worked wonders for Newcastle.
It took him a while to get going, but now, the Magpies are flying under his guidance.
In truth, he’s already halfway to defending his Manager of the Month crown, as Newcastle have won both of their games in March to extend their unbeaten run to nine games, with six of those ending in victory.

Some people have downplayed Howe’s efforts due to Newcastle’s spending in January.
Crucially, however, it must be said that the Englishman has pretty much been using the same team as before the winter window, with the exception of Chris Wood, Matt Targett and Dan Burn.
Howe is a fantastic coach, and with him in charge, the sky is the limit for Newcastle.
