Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United lost to Wigan Athletic on Friday.

Leeds United’s quest to finish in the top two of the Championship table this season suffered a blow on Friday afternoon, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side went down 2-1 to Wigan Athletic at home.
With Wigan fighting for survival in the Championship at the moment, Leeds were expected to pick up all three points from the match at Elland Road.
However, the West Yorkshire outfit lost 2-1 and are now third in the standings behind second-placed Sheffield United on goal difference.
It was a frustration afternoon for Leeds, and after the match, attacking midfielder Pablo Hernandez was seen consoling his teammate Ezgjan Alioski, as shown below.

Hernandez, who can also operate as a winger, failed to convert a penalty early in the match, while 27-year-old Alioski – who can play as a left-back or as a winger – did not have a good game on a personal level.
Leeds will return to action on Monday evening when they take on Brentford away from home in the Championship.
