Manchester United goalkeeper has given his support to Stoke City’s Bojan.
Manchester United’s star goalkeeper has offered his support to pal Bojan Krkic after his season ending injury.
David de Gea met up with the Stoke City forward, who was injured in the club’s FA Cup win over Rochdale on Monday night.
The injury was cruelly timed for the attacker, who had scored the game’s opening goal with a terrific volley from the edge of the box.
De Gea knows Bojan having played alongside him for Spain’s under-21 side, even though at club level in Spain and England they have always been on opposing teams.
Having previously been hailed as a wonderkid while at Barcelona, he failed to live up to the acclaim and had a tough time in Italy after moving on from the Blaugruna.
He was bought last summer by Stoke in a surprise move, and was recapturing the form which once marked him out as a top prospect.
The 24-year-old had five goals in 16 games in all competitions, but due to his cruciate knee ligament injury, now faces a challenge even to get fully fit for the start of next season.
