Tottenham Hotspur made it three Premier League wins in a row on Saturday afternoon as they beat Burnley 1-0 at Wembley.

Spurs went into the game having drawn 1-1 at Barcelona in midweek to secure their passage into the last 16 of the Champions League, but it was back to the bread and butter of the Premier League on Saturday.

Burnley were the visitors to North London, and most expected Mauricio Pochettino’s men to ease past the struggling Clarets and pick up another win after defeating Southampton and Leicester City.

However, Burnley were resilient, frustrating the hosts just like they did to so many teams last season, and looked to be on the verge of leaving for East Lancashire with a point.

Unfortunately for Sean Dyche’s men, Spurs kept going and kept going right until the very end, and did finally get their winner as Christian Eriksen pounced in the dying stages to seal a 1-0 win.

The Dane was only a substitute on Saturday, but made his presence felt after coming off the bench, snatching all three points and leaving Burnley devastated.

After the game, Spurs players headed to watch the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace, and Spurs left back Danny Rose was spotted with a sign he had made about Eriksen, calling him a ‘maestro’ and celebrating a ‘golazzo’ after his strike against Burnley.
