Hot on the heels of Romario Vieira’s one-year contract, Leeds have now announced that Conor Shaughnessy has agreed a similar deal of his own after impressing on trial.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder was previously on the books at Reading but he was looking for a new club following his release from the Royals.
He did not have to wait long and he will now look to impress for Leeds’ under-21 side, before potentially making the step up to Garry Monk’s senior side in due course.
Monk is not afraid to give youth a chance, as he has proved with the promotion of Ronaldo Vieira, so Shaughnessy will know he just has to play to his full potential and hope for the best.
Leeds had a relatively impressive transfer window, even if some of their fans were disappointed not to see another quality striker arrive on transfer deadline day.
