Back in July 2019, Liverpool took advantage of a situation at Fulham to sign Harvey Elliott, after the Cottagers failed to keep him at Craven Cottage.
The signing led to a tribunal with Fulham owed compensation, although the west Londoners were left disappointed after the Reds were ordered to pay just £4.3m for the precocious wonderkid.
A similar situation happened back in May, which saw another exciting attacker swap Fulham for Liverpool as Fabio Carvalho arrived in a £5m deal.
Now, a picture has emerged from the AXA Training Centre which will surely upset Fulham supporters.
What’s the story?
Well, the photographers at Liverpool captured a nice moment in which Elliott and Carvalho embraced on Merseyside, after they were reacquainted with one another.
It was a heartwarming image, although Fulham fans – who may still feel quite bitter about losing two incredible talents for pocket change – may not enjoy seeing it too much.
For Liverpool supporters, however, it should fill them with serious excitement.

Jürgen Klopp now has two of the most exciting young forwards in England at his disposal, and with the German coaching them, we believe the pair will develop into world beaters.
Fulham have handed Liverpool a pair of gems
In our view, Liverpool could have two of the most important players of the next generation on their hands.
The pair of 19-year-olds have already gained vast first-team experience in their short careers, with both tasting Premier League football.
In Elliott’s case, he has even got Champions League experience under his belt.

Klopp even started the teenager against Inter Milan, at the San Siro, in the Champions League Round of 16, so the sky really is the limit for both him and Carvalho, who is of similar potential.
With Carvalho often cutting in from the left, and Elliott coming inside from the right – like a certain Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah – they can also be used in the same starting XI, which we believe Liverpool will do in the coming years.
