The Leeds United striker opened the scoring for Leeds United yesterday.

Leeds United picked up a 2-1 win against Rotherham United in the Championship yesterday evening. They came under late pressure from the Millers, despite the fact their Yorkshire rivals had been reduced to 10-men after Peter Odemwingie was correctly sent off.

Richard Wood scored late on, but goals from Leeds pair Chris Wood and Souleymane Doukara.

After the game, there were plenty of pictures that helped to highlight the performance, but one of Chris Wood showed how much he appreciated the impact of Charlie Taylor throughout the game.

The left-back put in a brilliant performance for Leeds and laid the ball on a plate for Wood to score the opening goal of the game.

The full-back charged up the pitch and cut inside the right-back for Rotherham before picking out Wood – who simply had to tap the ball into the back of the net.

It was a brilliant piece of play from the defender – who Leeds are desperately trying to keep hold of with his contract expiring in the summer.

This was another example to display just how important it is for Leeds to try and keep hold of the defender.
