Celtic’s Johnston and Chelsea’s Gilmour linked up for Scotland’s Under-21 clash against Andorra.

Celtic winger Mikey Johnston has posted a picture on Instagram alongside ex-Rangers midfielder Billy Gilmour as the duo put aside Old Firm rivalry to team up with Scotland’s Under-21 side.
Johnston wore the number 10 shirt as Scot Gemmill’s Under-21 side went up against Andorra in what was a 2019 Under-21 Euro qualification clash. Both Gilmour and Johnston started the match, and shone in the 3-0 win.
Gilmour, who only turned 17 in June, left Rangers in the summer of 2017 to join Premier League giants Chelsea, and he has continued his excellent rise by providing an inch-perfect assist for the second of Fraser Hornby’s hat-trick.
Johnston also remained a thorn in Andorra’s defence, but the plaudits went to Everton striker Hornby who also scored a penalty and a late tap in from eight yards. Johnstone posted a picture alongside Gilmour before the match.
Johnston, 19, has somewhat broken into the Celtic first team of late, already making six senior appearances this season and creating an assist for Olivier Ntcham to score against FK Suduva in Lithuania last month.
It sees the skilful winger move on to 10 appearances for Rodgers’ side in total, and he will be looking to make more throughout the 2018-19 campaign as he looks to earn a new deal – with less than two years left on his current one.
