Sergio Reguilon summed up Tottenham Hotspur’s frustrations at Everton last night.
Jose Mourinho’s side were held to a 2-2 draw by the Toffees at Goodison Park on Friday in a result that does nothing for either club’s top-four hopes.
But it’s probably more damaging for Tottenham who had more of a chance for Champions League qualification than Everton prior to kickoff.
Tottenham left-back Reguilon was subbed off midway through the second half and he didn’t take the decision well.
The former Real Madrid defender, a £27 million summer signing, was photographed lashing his coat to the ground in the dugout, in front of Gareth Bale and Dele Alli.
There was more bad news for Tottenham after Harry Kane – who scored both of the North Londoners’ goals – limped off with what appeared to be a foot injury, replaced by Alli in the final minutes.
Any chance that Spurs have of top four rests solely on Kane and if he’s forced to miss football through injury, it’s potentially a colossal blow.
