Atletico Madrid have posted picutres from yesterday’s training session online – and Diego Costa was in action.
It was a rather sickening thud when Diego Costa slammed his left-leg into the past in a recent La Liga game against Getafe – and the result was clear to see in the aftermath.
He had opened up a terrible wound on his leg – and the fears were immediate that he might be out of action for a while with the issue.
But that was soon dispelled by Atletico doctors – and he now looks set to take on Elche in La Liga this weekend.
Now it looks certain that he will – as he was back in training yesterday…
The Brazilian born Spanish international has been sensational this campaign – scoring 33 goals in 37 appearances and has become a target for Chelsea in the process.
In fact just this morning it was again reported that a deal had been struck for him to move to London for £35 million this summer – as Jose Mourinho’s solution to striking problems.
Unfortunately for Jose however he will have to stop him before he can get him. Costa now looks 100% fit for the Champions League semi-final tie with Chelsea on Tuesday.
So John Terry and Gary Cahill better brace themselves for one hell of an evening.
