The Argentine seems to be preparing himself for Newcastle United’s stint in the Championship.

Newcastle United were relegated from the Premier League into the Championship last season.
Manager Rafael Benitez – who only took over at the end of March, when the Magpies were already in the drop zone – was powerless to prevent the North-East giants from slipping to their second demotion in the space of seven years.

But things look a little more rosy on Tyneside these days, what with the news that Benitez – a Champions League-winning manager – staying with Newcastle despite their relegation in a show of commitment which has united the club to some extent.
Ayoze Perez also looks set to stay at Newcastle after revealing that he was getting ready for pre-season.

The Spanish forward is not the subject of mass speculation, but he is perhaps good enough to be a Premier League player so Newcastle fans will be pleased to retain his services, if indeed that proves the case come September.
