Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta took time to pose for a photograph with a first XI of a different variety in London on Friday.

Arteta, who turned 40 today, spent the last day of his 30s in the English capital yesterday.

And an Arsenal fan who goes by the handle ‘Tierneytings’ on Twitter saw a photo opportunity and took it.

Well, him and his 10 mates.

Here’s the snap of Arteta doing the rounds:

Class

Even away from football, Arteta is proving himself a class act.

The Spaniard, whose Arsenal side have been among the Premier League’s best teams in 2022 thus far, looks genuinely happy to pose for the snap.

There’s a massive sense of unity between the Gunners’ playing and coaching staff and the fanbase these days.

Not long ago, Arsene Wenger was being booed at the Emirates and there was a real toxic atmosphere.

These days, however, it’s all love.

Hell, even Granit Xhaka has the support of most Arsenal fans at the moment, too.

Arteta has engineered a real change of mentality within the London Colney club and it’s refreshing to see.

However, Arsenal do need to qualify for the Champions League.

They’re fourth in the Premier League now and three points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played one game more.

In terms of consistency, Arsenal are definitely right to be considered favourites to finish at least fourth in the standings, but it’s a massive final two months of the season.
