With Arsenal preparing themselves to get the all-important three points against West Ham United, James Hillson has been pictured in first-team training.

This is not the first instance in which the 22-year-old has been spotted in and amongst the senior setup, as he was called up to train ahead of his side’s contest against Slavia Prague in 2021.

As Arsenal now ready themselves to lock horns against West Ham United, James Hillson has been seen in training once again.

Currently, Mikel Arteta’s side perhaps one of the most well-rounded No.1’s in the Premier League in Aaron Ramsdale. So much so that even opposition players like Callum Wilson lauded his display.

As the No.2, the league leaders have Karl Hein in their ranks, who is an expert penalty specialist and is one of the finest young goalkeepers in the English top-flight.

But James Hillson is yet another Arsenal shotstopper with plenty of potential, seemingly according to Mikel Arteta himself as he called him up to training ahead of his side’s battle against West Ham.

After all, Gunners youth team expert Jeorge Bird tweeted that Hillson has trained with the senior side throughout the week, as he was captured on Getty Images doing training trills.

HITC View: James Hillson will find it hard to nail down the No.1 spot

As talented as James Hillson is, coupled by the fact that the Arsenal boss called him up to first-team training ahead of his side’s contest against Southampton, a No.1 spot seems out of his reach.

That is simply down to Aaron Ramsdale, who is not only adept at keeping the ball out of the back of the net but on the ball, he is up there with the likes of Ederson and Alisson.

However, stranger things have happened in football and perhaps Hillson could don the No.1 shirt in the future by levelling up his repertoire.
