Gunners boss Mikel Arteta loaned out both Joe Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles during the January transfer window.
And the Arsenal academy lads faced off today when Newcastle United took a trip to West Bromwich Albion.

The game ended 0-0 so despite the Arsenal-related interest, fans of the North London club won’t have had much reason to tune in other than that.
Maitland-Niles claimed on Friday that he felt as if he had been ‘rotting away’ under the Spaniard this season, with the 23-year-old only managing five Premier League starts prior to joining Sam Allardyce’s side.
It was even worse for Willock, who only started two top-flight games this season, but he looks to be enjoying his time at Newcastle and already opened his account with a goal against Southampton in February.
