Leeds United had been strongly linked with the Motherwell talent.

Official confirmation of Stuart McKinstry’s transfer from Motherwell to Leeds United could be imminent.
Leeds are reported to have agreed a deal worth £400,000 for McKinstry earlier this year (Scottish Sun) and the winger was later shown to have visited the Championship club on social media.
As yet, however, neither the Whites nor Motherwell have commented on his situation.
But a photo shared by the @leedsutdacademy account on Twitter last night (Friday) appears to show McKinstry among the 13 players who have signed ‘two-year scholarship’ contracts at Elland Road.
The other youngsters seen in the image are (left to right): Billy Fewster, Connor Teale, Max McMillan, Owen Bray, Ethan Kachosa, Emmanuel Amissah, Jimiel Chikukwa, Nohan Kenneh, Taylor Ragan, Aaron Pilkington, Sam Leverett and Max Rigby.
Leeds typically announce their latest intake of scholars in late April or early May.
McKinstry, who made the bench for Motherwell’s first team this season, is a Scotland Under-17 International.
