Dermi Lusala has been spotted in Tottenham Hotspur first-team training under Antonio Conte.

Tottenham chance incoming?

Lusala was handed an opportunity to train with Tottenham’s senior stars yesterday, after being called into the first-team.

Spurs currently have a number of players away on international duty, which saw some of their more promising youngsters brought into the group.

Lusala, who is a right-back, was included as Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal are currently away on International duty.

It was a real opportunity for the 18-year-old, who is yet to make his senior debut.

Lusala grew up near Tottenham, in Edmonton, and has been at the club for some time now.

Emerging talent

His talents have already been recognised by England, who have capped him at youth level.

Lusala is absolutely rapid, and actually was emerging as a fine athlete, before he opted to go into football.

His pace is just one of his assets though, as he has always shown real tenacity and willingness to dribble while playing for Tottenham’s development squads.

His inclusion in first-team training highlights the fact that he is now pushing closer to a first-team role.

Although it seems unlikely that Conte will chuck him into the side in the imminent future, he may well have got the Italian boss’s eye with his skill-set.

Conte has deployed wing-backs at Spurs so far, and Lusala’s skills surely make him ideal for the role.
