The new Liverpool left-back is getting to know his Reds teammates.

New Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson has been photographed in his first training session since swapping Hull City for Anfield and he will be hoping to impress manager Jurgen Klopp from the outset.

The 23-year-old signed for Liverpool earlier this month in an initial £8million deal that could reach £10million (according to the BBC) and considering the inflated transfer market, where it often takes upwards of £30million just to get an average player these days, Robertson’s signing could prove to be a masterstroke in time.

Liverpool attackers Sadio Mane and Danny Ings both returned to training on Tuesday to give Klopp an additional boost, and he will be hoping he has as close to a full squad as possible to choose from when the competitive action kicks off next month.

Robertson arrives at Anfield to solve Liverpool’s problem position, and if he can settle quickly it will mean the Reds finally have an out-and-out left-back rather than a stop-gap solution such as James Milner, no matter how successful that particular experiment proved to be.

Liverpool are back among the European elite next season after a year away and Klopp will know the importance of having a squad capable of challenging on all fronts, especially when you consider the Merseyside club’s rivals are significantly strengthening themselves this summer.
