Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has joined up with the rest of the Ibrox squad on their mid-season training camp.

Rangers have been handed a further boost in what has arguably been a superb January for Steven Gerrard’s men, with the club confirming that Alfredo Morelos has arrived in Tenerife to link up with the rest of the squad.
There appeared to be a brief feeling of panic amongst a small section of the Ibrox faithful on social media when Morelos was not present when the rest of Gerrard’s squad arrived for their mid-season training camp.
The Colombian is enjoying a sensational season, and it would be a surprise if the Gers did not receive some offers for the striker this month. And some may have been concerned that Jermain Defoe’s arrival and Ryan Hardie’s recall was a sign that Gerrard may have been bracing himself for potentially losing his top goalscorer.
Of course, it quickly became apparent that Morelos was simply given additional time off before linking up with the squad. And any remaining concern has now been quashed with the club posting an image showing the forward arriving in the Canaries.

Here is the image the Gers posted…
With Defoe joining the club on loan for the next 18 months, the next few weeks could be crucial for Rangers as Gerrard looks to form the kind of partnership that puts all of their title rivals on alert.
If Morelos and Defoe click before the season resumes, the Rangers fans are undoubtedly in for a seriously exciting few months.
