You wonder if Nat Phillips could be sold by Liverpool in January.
Quite honestly, the Reds appear to have very little use for him.
Phillips has started one Premier League game for Liverpool this season – and that was back in August.
With Jurgen Klopp having Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate in the pecking order ahead of him, well the Bolton-born powerhouse doesn’t seem of major importance.
And with that in mind, a departure is very probable within a few weeks.
Well, providing he doesn’t pick up an injury during their mid-season training camp in Dubai.
The towering defender was spotted looking as powerful and intimidating as ever during one of Klopp’s sessions in the Middle East on Friday.

His departure would sadden some Liverpool supporters.
After all, last season’s Champions League, the won they nearly won, well they were only in the competition because of Phillips in the first place.
During the 2020-21 campaign, the Reds endured a horrific injury crisis to central defensive options.
Matip, Van Dijk and Gomez were all out for the second half of the season, leading to Phillips becoming arguably their biggest defender in terms of importance.
Klopp labelled the player ‘absolutely insane‘ following an end-of-season win at Manchester United which strengthened their top-four efforts.
And no doubt the German manager will also be disappointed to see him go, but go he must.
