Tottenham Hotspur target is familiar with potential teammate.

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Lyon attacker Maxwel Cornet, according to The Mirror.
And he is a player who will be familiar to Tottenham’s record signing Davison Sanchez – after the pair clashed in the Europa League semi-final last season (above).
Sanchez’s Ajax failed to keep a clean sheet in either match, winning the first leg 4-1 and then surviving a scare losing 3-1 in the second leg.
But even in the 3-1 victory, Cornet struggled to really make his presence felt.

The 21-year-old winger had four shots at goal, but fluffed his lines, landing all of them off target.
The first leg was just as unproductive with Cornet substituted after completing just 50 per cent of his passes.
Cornet has a £7 million release clause in his Lyon contract which could make him a tempting signing for Spurs, but he is not the finished product, unlike Davison Sanchez – who already looks like the complete player at the same age.
Perhaps the Ivory Coast international will find it easier when he isn’t going up against the Colombian and has him on his side instead.
