Yesterday, West Ham tweeted a video of their players in training ahead of the clash with Burnley, which the Irons won 1-0 today.
In the footage, a familiar face can be seen walking out amongst the squad.
That man was none other than cult hero Winston Reid.
The New Zealand international hasn’t played for the Hammers since suffering a gruesome injury against Swansea in March 2018.
Reid – who earns £70,000-a-week – had no choice but to spend hours in rehabilitation, where he then needed to play Premier League 2 football to build up match fitness.
The 32-year-old struggled to get back into the starting XI, however, and was loaned out to Sporting Kansas City.
Now though, the defender is back in east London, as you can see below.
Due to his injury and subsequent stint in Major League Soccer, Reid hasn’t actually played under David Moyes yet.
In that respect, it will be interesting to see if the former Everton boss actually considers him for selection, or doesn’t play him at all.
If the latter happens, then it would be a great shame.

In his 11th year at West Ham, Reid is undoubtedly a cult hero.
Due to the surprising nature of his injury, supporters never really got to wish him well before he found himself in the treatment room, and then out in the United States.
In that respect, it would be nice if Moyes gave him some game-time at some stage this season, even more so if supporters are allowed back in.
