Gabriel Martinelli has been photographed in training ahead of Arsenal’s meeting with Manchester City on Saturday evening.
The Brazilian wonderkid, who cost the Gunners £6 million when they signed him from Ituano last summer, last played in February.
Martinelli’s most recent appearance came in the Europa League defeat to Olympiacos back on the 27th February, where Arsenal were knocked out after extra time as Transfermarkt shows.
The 19-year-old has since been struggling with a knee injury which he picked up in training following Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Brighton in June, according to The Mirror.
However, he has been photographed back in action at London Colney, looking in great shape.

Sporting a retro pair of Adidas F50 adiZero boots, the teenager appears to have beefed up a bit while rehabilitating from his knee issue.
We presume that Mikel Arteta can’t wait to have the Guarulhos-born winger back in action.
Martinelli netted an impressive ten goals in 26 appearances in his debut campaign for the Gunners, while also recording four assists until lockdown, then the injury, stagnated his progress.

In that respect, it’s pleasing to see the highly-rated prospect back at London Colney building his fitness up.
It’s now up to Arteta to manage him properly, and make sure he’s eased back into action sensibly to avoid further damage to his knee.
