Back in the summer, West Ham signed Craig Dawson on a season-long loan from Watford as David Moyes looked to bolster his centre-back options.
The Rochdale-born defender cost the Hornets £5.5 million when they signed him from West Brom, where he made his name as a goalscoring centre-back.
Dawson has netted 43 goals throughout his career, which is fantastic for a defender.
However, he hasn’t played a single minute of football under Moyes since arriving at the London Stadium.
Last night, he was spotted playing for the Under-21 side in their 3-0 defeat to Peterborough.
You can see an image of the 30-year-old playing against the League One side’s youngsters below.

Unless something serious happens to Angelo Ogbonna, Fabian Balbuena, Issa Diop or Aaron Cresswell, it seems as if the Hammers might’ve wasted a loan on Dawson.
The Irons only get two domestic loans, as does every other Premier League club, so it seems wasteful to use one on a centre-back who hasn’t played a single minute yet.

That could’ve been used bringing another striker in to compete with Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller, or a left-back to challenge Arthur Masuaku now Cresswell typically plays at centre-back.
It was also a strange move for Dawson, who could’ve been playing weekly in the Championship as Watford target an immediate return to the top-flight.
