This is the season not only for Christmas, but for a busy schedule of football and Liverpool have picked up a pretty timely injury boost.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t kicked a ball for the Premier League champions in any competition this season.

But the 27-year-old midfielder, a £40 million signing by Liverpool in 2017, looks like he might be available for the hectic fixture list this month.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was spotted at the Reds’ Axa Training Centre on Tuesdsay ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash away to Midtjylland.

Here are some photos of the session:

The good news is that if Oxlade-Chamberlain is fit enough to take part in Jurgen Klopp’s full session, a return isn’t far away.

The bad news is that tonight’s game more than likely comes too soon for the former Arsenal winger, but perhaps Sunday’s trip to Fulham is a realistic comeback game for Oxlade-Chamberlain.

With Fabinho forced to play in central defence these days, and Thiago Alcantara still out injured, Liverpool need a midfielder and with this boost, Klopp will have another body to call on for much of the month it seems.
