Steven Bergwijn has dropped a very big hint that he’s back in action for Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs play host to Aston Villa in North London tomorrow and it looks like the Dutch winger might be available again.

The Tottenham star, a £25 million signing under Jose Mourinho, has been out injured in recent weeks since the Europa Conference League draw at Rennes in September.

But the player himself has uploaded a cryptic Instagram photo, suggesting he might be available.

Bergwijn posted a graphic design of himself on social media and added an hourglass emoji to suggest something is imminent.

Massive

What a boost this could be for Nuno Espirito Santo.

Let’s face it, it was a disastrous month of September for the under-pressure Portuguese coach and he’ll want to stop the rot in October.

Tottenham have lost their last three Premier League games and have conceded nine goals in that time, scoring just the once.

But Bergwijn was one of the club’s best players during those three-straight wins in August and having him back for the Villans can only be a good thing, if that is indeed the case.

Tomorrow’s clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gets underway at 2pm BST.
