There hasn’t been a lot of movement on the subject of Nat Phillips’s future at Liverpool.
Last month, The Echo reported that the Reds had decided to sell the 25-year-old defender.
Phillips spent the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth, having barely kicked a ball for Liverpool during the first half of the campaign.
A permanent return is reportedly on the cards but more recently it was reported that Jurgen Klopp could execute a u-turn and actually keep the towering figure at Anfield, as Joel Matip’s long-term replacement [The Mirror].
It remains to be seen what Liverpool ultimately decide to do with Phillips.
But the Bolton-born powerhouse was photographed in Klopp’s latest pre-season training session on Wednesday – and he looked a colossal figure.
Phillips was spotted towering over teammates Luis Diaz, Roberto Firmino and Leighton Clarkson in images which show how massive he really is.

Despite recent reports, it would be a surprise if Liverpool keep him.
Well, Klopp might be completely in favour of keeping him around, but Phillips himself wants out of Merseyside.
He effectively confirmed via The Echo, as covered by HITC Sport, a month ago that he wanted to play regular football.
And talented as he may be, there’s just no way the Liverpool boss will be able to use him every week.
The truth is that when everyone is fit – Virgil van Dijk, Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez – the former Wanderers stalwart wouldn’t even make the squad and with that in mind, he’s right in wanting to leave.
