Photo: 17-year-old spotting in Tottenham training with Son after scoring hat-trick last week

After scoring a hat-trick against Chelsea’s Under-18 side on Saturday, Roshaun Mathurin has been rewarded by Jose Mourinho.

The 17-year-old was spotted in first-team training at Hotspur Way today, as he was handed some invaluable experience by the Portuguese coach.

Mathurin can be seen looking focused with a blurry Heung-min Son lurking in the background.

For the teenager to be able to train with the South Korean, as well as the likes of Harry Kane and Gareth Bale, must’ve made him feel like he was on cloud nine.

It’s clear that if you impress in the youth sides, Mourinho will reward you.

How so? Well, the likes of Alfie Devine, Dane Scarlett and Nile John were also spotted among the first-team in training today.

All of them have impressed in the development ranks this term, and Mourinho is clearly keeping an eye on how the youngsters get on.

So far this season, the winger has six goals in 15 appearances, as well as one assist.

There’s no reason why Mathurin cannot get some first-team action if he keeps impressing.

After all, Mourinho has already handed first-team debuts to 16-year-old duo Scarlett and Devine this season.

Devine even managed to score on his, netting against Marine in the FA Cup.

Elsewhere, Scarlett faced West Brom in Premier League action and has also playing on numerous occasions in the Europa League.
