Calum Chambers was photographed being put through his paces in Arsenal’s training session on Wednesday afternoon.

The former Southampton defender hasn’t kicked a ball for the Gunners in 2020 due to a long-term knee injury.

Chambers was one of the players who looked to be producing quality performances during the early days of Mikel Arteta’s tenure at Arsenal, prior to his injury.

And he was pictured at London Colney in Arteta’s full training session as he steps up his pursuit of a long-awaited comeback.

Here are some snaps of Chambers – who set Arsenal back £16 million in 2014 – during the session:

Arsenal are back in Europa League action tonight as Norwegian outfit Molde visit the Emirates Stadium.

And although there’s virtually no chance of Chambers being included in the first XI, he is eligible to be named in the squad.

Despite omitting the likes of Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Mesut Ozil – both of whom are fit – Arteta included Chambers in the general squad for this competition and it’ll be interesting to see if he’s among the substitutes later tonight.
