Well, Ivan Toney has made his feelings toward Newcastle United perfectly clear.
Inevitably, the 25-year-old came back to haunt Newcastle on Saturday.
Toney, a £10 million signing by Brentford in 2020, scored in their 3-3 draw at St James’s Park yesterday.
The English hitman spent three years on the Magpies’ books but left in 2018 after only two senior league appearances during his stint on Tyneside.
Toney said previously that he harbours no resentment toward Newcastle after barely playing.
And yet, the former United marksman kissed the Bees’ badge right in front of the home fans at St James’s Park yesterday in what could be considered disrespectful.
Here’s some images of the striker on Saturday:

Triumphalism
Still, you can’t begrudge him a bit of triumphalism, under the circumstances.
Newcastle loaned him out more than five times and then sold him to a League One club – Peterborough.
Nobody in the North East spotted his potential evidently and for Toney to score against his old side in the Premier League three years later.
It’s a costly mistake for the Magpies because being a young, English and a good goalscorer at the highest level, Toney, who has netted four times since the Bees’ promotion, could be worth a very big amount soon.
Because if the Londoners spent £10 million on him then well, he’s easily already worth 2.5 times that amount already.
