Tottenham Hotspur’s academy is blossoming with young talent, with Reo Griffiths, Kazaiah Sterling and Shayon Harrison among the young talents hoping to eventually make a breakthrough.
A name which stands out is attacking midfielder Phoenix Patterson.
Patterson is just 16 and is starting to make an impression for the under-18 side.
Earlier this month he did something which will ingratiate himself to any Tottenham fan – inspired a win over Arsenal, the club’s official website reported.
Patterson provided two assists in a 2-1 win over the Gunners’ under-18 side, a performance which demonstrated he is a player the coaching staff should be excited about.
He did not feature in the FA Youth Cup this week, with Tottenham keen not to rush his development, and a first team spot is a long way off.
His first step will be to sign professional terms with the club when he turns 17, but already Phoenix Patterson is displaying signs that he is a player Tottenham fans should keep track of.
With a name as eye catching as his, it shouldn’t be too difficult.
