Liverpool need to start winning games if they’re going to break into the Premier League’s top four.

The Reds have been in poor form for quite some time now, but a game against a struggling Southampton side represents a great chance for the Anfield outfit to get back on track.

Of course, that’s easier said than done. Southampton got the better of Liverpool earlier this season, so the Reds need to step things up here.

If Liverpool are to win this game then Jurgen Klopp will need to get his team selection spot on, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Reds’ starting XI for this one.

We think that Liverpool will make just the one change for this clash.

Nat Phillips is back fit and available, so he slots straight into the XI alongside Ozan Kabak, which of course frees Fabinho up to move back into the midfield.

Klopp utilised an ultra-offensive 4-2-4 against Newcastle, but that didn’t work out all that well, so we expect the conventional 4-3-3 to return, meaning that Roberto Firmino is benched while Diogo Jota plays the central attacking role.
