Nottingham Forest manager Philippe Montanier has told the club’s official website that he has set his players two targets for the match against Leeds United this weekend.

Forest will take on Leeds at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Montanier has said that the Reds are aiming to win the game at the City Ground, as well as defend better.

The Forest boss has also shared his appreciation of Garry Monk’s Leeds side.

“Leeds have had two very good away wins this week,” Montanier told Forest’s official website. “We will need to be at our top level to beat them as they’re a dangerous side.

“They are a very organised unit in defence and they can counter-attack quickly so I’m sure it will be a very exciting game on Saturday.

“The first target for us is to win the game. The second is to defend better and eliminate the mistakes at the back.

“We understand that we have been conceded too many goals at home and we need to start defending better as team.”

Forest have a decent squad and have won their last two competitive matches.

However, the Reds have looked vulnerable defensively so far this season and have conceded far too many goals than they should have.

Montanier’s side won against Wigan Athletic at the City Ground in the Championship last weekend, but they conceded as many as three goals.

Leeds are in good form at the moment and will fancy their chances against the Reds.

Forest have to be tight at the back, or they could drop all three points against the West Yorkshire outfit at the City Ground.
