Nottingham Forest’s Oliver Burke celebrates scoring their third goal
Nottingham Forest play their first game since the close of the transfer window this weekend, taking on Aston Villa in the Championship.
The fixture will also be their first since selling prized asset Oliver Burke to RB Leipzig in Germany.
The Scottish talent left for big money, with Forest fans left livid at the decision to sell the player by chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi.

But Forest manager Philippe Montanier made it clear to the press today that he backed the chairman’s decision and that he felt the club had done their best to adequately replace Burke:
Forest have certainly done their best. Wingers Lica, Nicolao Dumitru and Muzzy Carayol all arrived before the transfer window shut from Porto, Napoli and Middlesbrough respectively.
What Forest have seemingly done is bring in a heap of players to replace one, although they also needed extra cover after allowing Jamie Ward to join Burton Albion on loan.

But none of these players have the potential star quality that Burke did and Forest fans will need a while to be convinced the Scotsman’s sale was in the best interests of the club.
