Nottingham Forest lost 2-1 on Saturday afternoon to the Welsh side.

Speaking to Nottingham Forest’s official website, Philippe Montanier has played down the on-the-pitch row which ensued between Henri Lansbury and Britt Assombalonga in Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat by Cardiff City.
Two goals from Aron Gunnarsson and Joe Ralls helped Cardiff into a 2-0 lead at the break, before a red card for Thomas Lam on 58 minutes all but ended the game as a contest.
Forest did, however, manage to pull one back in injury time when Lansbury converted from the penalty spot, but it was too late to salvage a point.

The former Arsenal man was involved in a heated debate with striker Assombalonga over who would take the spot-kick in rather embarrassing scenes it must be said.
But Montanier, speaking to Nottingham Forest’s official website, has said that he would rather see two players arguing over the penalty than none of his troops wanting to take the responsibility of scoring.
He said: “The argument between Britt and Henri over who took the penalty is normal in football. I’d rather have two players wanting to take it than nobody.

“Those two are the designated penalty-takers and I leave it up to them to decide who takes it.”
It was Nottingham Forest’s third defeat in four Championship outings and the pressure seems to be mounting on the French manager, who was appointed in the summer.
Overall, the Reds have won just one of their last nine league games and the former Real Sociedad coach needs to turn things around – and fast.
