Barcelona central defender Samuel Umtiti has praised Aston Villa attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho on Instagram for his performance against Leeds United at Elland Road.
Steven Gerrard’s Villa got the better of Leeds 3-0 away from home at Elland Road in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
Coutinho, who can also play as a winger and is on loan from Barcelona, scored in the 22nd minute.
The Brazil international was a constant problem for the Leeds defence, and his performance impressed Barcelona central defender Umtiti, who has described him as “Crack” (ace).

In our view, Coutinho has done well for Villa so far and is showing what he is capable of.
The former Liverpool star has scored four goals and provided three assists in seven Premier League starts for the Villans so far.
The Villans are doing well at the moment, and one of the big reasons behind that is the form of Coutinho.
The 29-year-old joined Villa on loan from Barcelona in the January transfer window.
In our opinion, the Villans should seriously consider signing Coutinho on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window.
