Aston Villa signed Tyrone Mings on a permanent contract in the summer transfer window.

The Liverpool legend believes that Mings has been a good signing for Villa and has praised him.
Thompson said about Mings on Sky Sports Premier League (2:48pm, August 17, 2019): “I think he has been a good signing.”
Thompson added: “He is good because he organises people and tried to keep them all close to him.”
Stats
Mings joined Villa on loan from Bournemouth in January 2019 for the rest of last season and did well for the Villans.
The 26-year-old was a rock at the back for Dean Smith’s side, as they clinched promotion to the Premier League from the Championship via the playoffs.
The former Ipswich Town defender made 18 appearances in the Championship for Villa during the second half of last season, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Villa made the loan move of Mings permanent in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £20 million.
The Villans have not made a good start to the 2019-20 Premier League season, as they have lost both of their opening games.
