Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah just cannot stop scoring.

Mohamed Salah is back from an injury layoff and has resumed banging in the goals for fun for Liverpool.

Salah was on target against Sparta Prague in the UEFA Europa League last week and found the back of the net against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Liverpool legend Phil Thompson is a huge fan of Salah and has been blown away by how consistent the forward has been over the years.

The 31-year-old has scored 154 goals and given 68 assists in 253 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The former Chelsea attacker has scored 21 goals and given 13 assists in 32 matches in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side this campaign.

Phil Thompson gives his verdict on Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah

Thompson said about Salah on talkSPORT (9:57 am, March 18, 2024): “I think Mo Salah and his stats will probably make him, probably, in my mind, probably second behind Sir Kenny Dalglish.”

When pointed out that Salah is the first Liverpool player to score 20 or more goals in a single season for seven consecutive campaigns, the pundit noted: “It is staggering, and to do it time and time again in this Premier League of ours, and he is a winger, for goodness sake.

“And, I know he has just missed these games just recently, but the guy has never been injured. And to play in the Premier League at this level and to maintain those standards, I just think it is extraordinary.”

My View: Mohamed Salah is a Liverpool legend

In my opinion, Mohamed Salah is one of the greatest players of all time and is a Premier League. He is a Liverpool great.

Salah has been key in Liverpool winning the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League under manager Jurgen Klopp. Despite not being a centre-forward, he scores goals for fun.

The Egyptian is a goal machine who has developed into a world-class player at Liverpool. It is remarkable just how consistent Salah is, and even at the age of 31, he is not showing any signs of slowing down.

If Liverpool are to win the Premier League and the UEFA Europa League this season, then, in my opinion, Salah will have to continue to score.
